It's more than a feeling...

Wedding Party!

Tori - Maid of Honor
Saturday night's alright
Their mom tells the story of how, when the newborn Tori was in her car seat on the floor, seventeen-month-old Cassie sat on her. Their relationship has improved since then; Cassie and Tori were natural playmates growing up, spending hours playing dollhouse and riding bikes around the neighborhood. Tori went on to study physical therapy at Marquette. She currently lives in Baltimore and works at Johns Hopkins. In spite of the distance, Tori has been enthusiastically helping with planning the wedding.

The years she spent perfecting her English accent paid off as Tori is now dating Richard, her very own Brit. UPDATE: Tori and Richard got engaged in Baltimore before leaving for the holidays in the U.K.! So it will be a busy year for the Meyers in 2012!

Rebecca - Bridesmaid
Moms like ice cream too!
Cassie was very excited to get a second sister when her brother Jordan married Becky in September of 2008, after dating through high school and college. Becky is an amazing case worker for her clients with disabilities. She is even a more amazing mom to her two adorable sons, Nolan and Luke. They will be the two beautiful, energetic little boys running around the wedding - and if Luke follows in Nolan's footsteps, they will both be carrying matchbox cars.

Nolan & Lucas!
Cassie was so honored to be part of the wedding party at Becky and Jordan's wedding and is excited to have Becky in her wedding as well.

Jordan - Bridesman
Happy to be a bridesman!
It was great hanging out with Jordan while he was at school in the Chicago-land area - watching CSI on her old desktop computer and eating ramen with eggs. Nowadays you can find him fixing up property he owns, hanging out with the kiddos or playing Modern Warfare 2 with his wife.

The first Meyer to get married, Jordan is a wonderful stay-at-home dad and real estate mogul.

Catherine - Bridesmaid
What are you lookin' at?
As far as Geoff can remember, he and Katie never fought when they were young [at least, this is how he will tell the story to future generations].  Like all good siblings, their relationship improved dramatically once Geoff left for college. A summer spent car counting for the City of Naperville also strengthened their friendship, and they still wonder "What happened to Keith?"

Katie spent undergrad at the University of Dayton [just up the road from Cincy!], and is now living out west in Colorado. Being one of the most unselfish people Geoff or Cas know, Katie is currently working for a non-profit that helps Denver's homeless.

Lucas - Best Man
A dancing machine
Geoff first met Luke in 5th grade at a traveling soccer tryout- he remembered a kid with a powerful boot, and when Geoff began playing for the Naperville Express 'White' team, turned out it was Luke. They spent 3 years at Lincoln Jr. High as well, only having band and 7th grade English classes together. Soon they moved on to Benet Academy, where they never shared a class again. Boo-urns. They did carpool to school/soccer a lot, and often would turn on 'GoldenEye' or shoot some odd videos here and there.

BCD!
Lucas and Geoff kept in touch via AIM/email/phone throughout college, and went on a whirlwind tour of Germany & Italy after Geoff graduated in 2006. Geoff later proudly served as Luke's co-Best Man in 2008, and thinks Luke's son Brandon is one of the coolest kids around. Lucas is currently a top-notch Sourcing Manager at Direct Supply in Milwaukee, WI. UPDATE: Brandon [a.k.a. BCD] had a heart transplant in October, and is back home walking & talking like a champ!

Anthony - Groomsman
Just hangin'
When Tony isn't running a Scout Camp or hiking in a distant state, Geoff usually tries to get some golf/xbox time together. Tony has proven to be a natural at both, so Geoff has already decided to never wager against his bro. Tony will have his driver's license by the wedding date, so he will also be able to enjoy driving through the lovely state of Indiana.

Quiet & thoughtful most of the time, Tony will surprise you with his wisecracks and play-by-play descriptions of canoeing gone horribly wrong. He is also a big fan of brunch.

Robert - Groomsman
Did someone say 'board games'?!
Rob & Geoff shared 4 years of Mr. Paul's German class at Benet, and Geoff still remembers the first time he was invited to Rob's place in Wheaton [a summer party between sophomore & junior years]. Little did they know that Rob's basement would soon become an almost-nightly hangout for them and the 'usual crowd' throughout high school and college. This tradition continued in Chicago as well. Basically, if you need a place to chill, this is the man to talk to.

Geoff and Rob went on a trip to sunny California several years ago to widen their knowledge of wines and give them an excuse to continue to buy quality beverages. As a Prosecutor, Rob currently helps put away Kane County's worst where they belong. Lawyered. UPDATE: Rob proposed to Erica on their PAX trip in Seattle!

Salvador - Groomsman
Somebody got the card he wanted
Sal & Geoff also shared 4 years of German class together- who knew German would prove to be so useful later in life? Pre-Cassie, Geoff tried to Megabus it up to Milwaukee every couple months to return the favor of Sal always visiting Chi-town and giving Geoff the opportunity to hit up Iberico's tapas restaurant downtown.

Geoff was honored to be in Sal's wedding in 2009, and always enjoys the trips up to Minnesota [Hope's cabin is ~30 minutes outside of Minneapolis]. Sal currently engineers precast concrete pieces in Milwaukee- keep an eye out for Marquette's Law School if you're driving through!

Christopher - Usher
Sing it!
Growing up in the same neighborhood, Geoff & Chris played Little League way way back, then lost touch at different high schools. Then during Geoff's frosh year at Notre Dame, they ended up working a shift together at the South Dining Hall, and the rest is history. They've hit up many ND football games since graduation, and kept in touch while Chris was helping out the US gov't in DC.

Chris returned to Chicago several years ago for law school, and thus he and Geoff became familiar with Chicago's finest late night beverage dispensaries [i.e. The Hange Uppe]. Chris is now a high-falutin' big-city lawyer downtown.

James - Usher
Looking dapper
Jamie & Geoff were born a month apart in 1982 to bring endless entertainment to the Walrack & Matteson families. Despite snowmobile crashes and baseball-related dental emergencies [or is it because of them?] they've managed to remain great friends. You're likely to find them out on a golf course somewhere in between Naperville and Hampshire.

Mason!
Geoff ushered at Jamie's wedding in 2009, and is looking forward to meeting Jamie's son when he arrives sometime this August. Jamie is currently trying to fix the US banking industry from the inside-out as a Mortgage Manager in the northwestern suburbs. UPDATE: Jamie & Sarah have welcomed Mason into the world; so this will be his first trip to Ohio...

Mark - Usher
Mmmmmyes?
Geoff and Mark met freshman year at Benet Academy, seated near each other in biology. This led to a couple years as lab partners where they didn't quite destroy every piece of equipment they came across. Fun fact: Mark's introduction of MST3k to Geoff eventually led to Geoff meeting Cassie [see How We Met]. Mark & Geoff's creative apex involved the penning of a rap song in Homeroom.

Mark tolerated California for a few years for college, and is currently back in Evanston building our future robotic overlords. His Prius has set national records for fuel-efficiency, and he has recently developed a soft spot for [some] cats. But don't get put on "The List".
